Klas Electric Generator Service Package Details
Annual Maintenance Visit - All of Northern NJ & West NY
For peace of mind that your generator will be there for you and your family when you need it most, a certified technician will maintain your unit at a time most convenient for you. We schedule you in and you don't need to worry about anything after that. We offer two different tiers of service, but they both include our yearly maintenance visit.
MAINTENANCE VISIT (1 per year) includes 35 point service/inspection:
- Change Oil, Oil Filter and Spark Plugs
- Change Air Filter per manufacturer recommended maintenance schedule
- Manufacturer Firmware Updates and Service bulletins as needed
- Inspect and load test battery
- Inspect and clean alternator brushes/rings
- Inspect all connections
- Check generator output voltage/frequency and adjust if necessary
- Clean exterior and interior of generator
- Inspect Transfer Switch
- Simulate outage condition to load test generator and operate transfer switch
Additional Inspection Visit (Optional) For extra peace of mind to make extra sure your generator will be ready when you need it!
- Occurs approximately 6 months after full maintenance visit
- Visually inspect unit, connections and view event log (if applicable)
- Check Oil level
- Run generator non-loaded to ensure proper running condition
- Inspect and clean air intake
GOLD
Package
- Annual full service performed by authorized technician
- Comprehensive service report
- Annual simulated power outage and transfer switch inspection
- Available for 24 hour emergency services
- Priority Status
- Available for additional services and oil checks during outage times
- Complete warranty work for eligible machines
PLATINUM
Package
- Annual full service performed by authorized technician
- Additional site visit approximately 6 months after main service to complete a visual inspection of generator and transfer switch
- Comprehensive service report for both site visits
- Annual simulated power outage and transfer switch inspection
- Available for 24 hour emergency services
- Priority Status
- Available for additional services and oil checks during outage times
- Complete warranty work for eligible machines

The OnCue system must be installed, then we are able to add their account to our office watch dock. We monitor this so the customer does not have to. In event of an issue, notification, or fault, our office will contact them by the next business day to let them know their generator is experiencing issues. We then schedule a technician to arrive on site to attempt to fix the issue.
ONCUE MONITORING (KOHLER ONLY W/ SPECIFIC MODELS ELIGIBLE):
In the event of a storm or prolonged outage and you need service, your call will be answered and our technicians respond FIRST before non-contract clients. We offer 24-hour emergency service exclusively for our maintenance contract customers. Emergency service between the scheduled service dates will be provided at rates in effect at the time of service.
