Klas Electric, Inc. is a third generation, family owned and operated company founded by Raymond P. Klas in 1962. Ray Sr. graduated from high school as a 16-year-old valedictorian and headed to Montclair State University studying to be a mathematics professor in Montclair, NJ. He left college to enlist in the armed forces during World War II and served as a meteorologist. After returning from his tour with the U.S. Air Force, he changed direction and focused on becoming an electrician. His goal then (as with now) was to provide his customers with the best electrical services possible.
Raymond Klas (his son) began learning the electrical trade by working side-by-side with his father every summer until his father's death in 1972. Ray graduated from Lincoln Technical School, applied, and passed the Electrical Board exam at the age of 21--- the youngest licensed electrical contractor in New Jersey at that time.
Ray founded Klas Electrical Contractors, Inc. in 1983 and since then has strived to be the best by offering superb electrical and generator sales and service to every one of his customers. We are a Kohler Generator Titanium Sales and Service Dealer.

Ray Sr. started Klas Electric in 1983. He currently handles all estimates, quotes and overseeing daily operations of Klas Electric & Generators. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, assisting his wife with her interior design business, and cooking for others.
Power Systems Business Development Consultant
Kurt is responsible for overall business development, technical sales & service support, training and overall Generator operations. In his spare time he enjoys Martial Arts and spending time with his family.

Antoinette oversees everyday operations of our electrical and generator division. This includes providing support for customers and scheduling our technicians. In her spare time, she enjoys painting and professional wrestling.
Senior Electrician
Level 1 Generator Technician
Robert has been with Klas Electric for 23 years and is our senior electrician. He is currently training in our generator sector as a level 1 technician to assist with storm response. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family.

Joe is currently a Sr. Installation Mechanic and level 2 generator technician. He enjoys riding motorcycles in his spare time

Bill joined Klas Electric in 2018 as electrical apprentice and has just begun training as a level 1 generator technician for generator servicing. In his free time, he enjoys watching and playing a variety of sports.
